Impossible Foods said Tuesday it is debuting its plant-based meatballs at Walmart stores, its third new retail product in four months. The privately held company launched Impossible Sausage Made From Plants and Impossible(TM) Chicken Nuggets earlier this year, joining its flagship Impossible Burger, which is available at about 22,000 grocery retail outlets. The new meatballs will be available at a plant-based destination in Walmart’s frozen aisle that ill feature the company’s products at more than 3,000 locations. The meatballs have 12 grams of protein per service, zero cholesterol, and 30% less sodium than the leading animal meatballs, the company said. The come fully cooked and can be used in recipes including spaghetti to meatball subs.
