Best Buy Co. Inc. said Wednesday it’s launching a home pick-up recycling service and will come to customers’ home to pick up old tech to be recycled, from laptops to bigger appliances such as washing machines. “Just a click away, anyone in the U.S. can now request pickup and recycling for old electronics, keeping tech, including appliances, out of landfills and giving it a second life,” the company said in a statement. The service will remove up to two large products such as TVs or appliances, as well as smaller products, like laptops, cameras, cords, gaming consoles and more. It will be priced at $199.99 with loyalty members entitled to a 20% discount. Shares were not yet active premarket, but are down 18% in the last 12 months, while the S&P 500 has gained 7%.
