Wendy’s Co. announced on Monday the launch of a Strawberry Frosty nationally for a limited time. The Strawberry Frosty will join the traditional chocolate dessert on the menu after testing in both the U.S. and Canada. The Strawberry Frosty is made with a custom puree in a Vanilla Frosty base. Also for summer, Wendy’s is bringing back the Summer Strawberry Chicken Salad, also for a limited time. The salad includes fresh strawberries, Applewood smoked bacon and candied almonds. Both items can be purchased in restaurants or on the app. Those who order the salad on the app will also receive a complimentary small order of French fries. The Summer Strawberry Chicken Salad joins other Wendy’s salads including the Apple Pecan Salad and the Taco Salad. Wendy’s stock has slumped 18.5% for 2022 so far while the S&P 500 index is down 13.6%. In August 2021, Wendy’s launched a new French fry and chicken was added to the breakfast menu in February in the form of a Hot Honey Chicken Biscuit.
