Sam’s Club, the Walmart Inc. warehouse club, announced a revamp of its Member’s Mark brand focused on sustainability. Sam’s Club aims to remove a number of ingredients, including talc and high fructose corn syrup, to source protein from producers that meet its animal welfare guidelines, to use packaging that’s recyclable or reusable, and more by 2025. Member’s Mark was first launched in 1998, and in 2017, Sam’s Club consolidated all of its private label brands under the Member’s Mark banner. Over the past couple of years, the brand has launched or reformulated more than 1,200 items. Walmart stock has advanced 11.6% over the past year.
