NextEra Energy Inc. said Tuesday it is raising its adjusted per-share earnings guidance for the period stretching from 2022 to 2025 in a statement released ahead of an investor day. For 2022, the company now expects adjusted EPS of $2.80 to $2.90, followed by 2.98 to $3.13 for 2023. The FactSet consensus is for 2022 EPS of $2.82, followed by $3.04 for 2023. The company said it expects adjusted EPS of $3.23 to $3.43 for 2024 followed by $3.45 to $3.70 to 2025. In a separate release Tuesday, the company outlined plans to become carbon neutral by 2025. Shares were up 0.8% premarket but have fallen 22% in the year to date, while the S&P 500 has fallen 21%.
