New York Community Bancorp Inc. , a real estate lender that also operates 237 branches, said Monday it’ll eliminate non-sufficient, uncollected, and unavailable funds fees on all of its consumer and business checking products as of Aug. 1. It will also scrap transfer fees on its overdraft shield product. During the third quarter, NY Community Bancorp also plans to launch an Early Pay product to offer customers access to their direct deposit paycheck up to two days sooner to help avoid overdrafts.
