Staffers for Democratic Rep. Andy Levin of Michigan have become the first office to unionize in the history of the U.S. Congress, said the Congressional Workers Union in a tweet on Monday. Levin, a former union organizer, earlier this year backed a resolution to grant congressional staff the right to organize and bargain collectively.
