Solutions Architect

My client is an established global provider of world leading Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Financial Management Solutions (FMS). Founded in 1993, the company has grown from strength to strength, and offers software, services and support to over 800 customers worldwide. We now operate offices in the UK, USA, Australia and Asia and are a Global Number One Partner of Infor and SAP.

They are growing, profitable and looking for a Solutions Architect in the US.

The Solutions Architect role is two-fold, encompassing pre-sales activity and solution definition and design as part of project implementation.

Pre-sales activity will involve assisting the sales team in winning new business in the ERP space with the S/4 HANA Cloud solution by providing excellent solution demonstrations, insight, proposal responses and other activities as required in the course of acquiring new customers and projects.

The services solution architect activity will involve running design workshops/sessions with the client and completing design blueprints and templates for implementation consultants to follow during the course of a project implementation.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Work with Business Development Managers and Account Managers to help close sales for the S/4 HANA Cloud solution for both software and services
  • Answer Requests for Information and Requests for Proposal So
  • Assist in the creation of customized demos, often this will involve creating specific environments using client data
  • Engage actively with the solution authors and ensure that the team is up to date with the latest developments
  • Proactively support sales teams and partners in positioning S/4 HANA and it’s key differentiators
  • Maintain in depth and up to date knowledge of relevant business drivers, typical customer needs and the ERP competitive landscape
  • Ensure collaboration with industry presales teams, partners, the core technology presales community and sales.

  • Attend adequate product training; read relevant collateral, analyst reports, white papers, competitive documents etc.
  • Conduct solution design workshops and produce design documents for successful solution implementation to be followed and executed by the implementation team
  • Provide solution design and implementation guidance and expertise where required
  • Undertake detailed consulting and design tasks as required on specific projects

Technical:

  • Demonstrable knowledge across the S/4 HANA solution set
  • Working knowledge of S/4 HANA Finance
  • Good understanding of the general IT Business Solutions marketplace and landscape with particular emphasis on ERP
  • Previous background in Business Solution consulting or Pre-Sales
  • Ability to design and configure demonstration scenarios for prospective clients

Base: $120-140K
OTE: +Bonus
