Sr. Systems Admin- Unified Messaging

My client is a global law firm with 20 offices in the world’s major commercial centers. They are leader in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and financial/regulatory. They were founded in 1873. They are about $750 million in revenue, privately held and growing.


They are expanding their tech team and looking for a Sr. Systems Administrator- Unified Messaging in their NYC office. 



Key Responsibilities:

Administration of the global messaging architecture and troubleshoot problems. Environment includes Exchange 2016, Enterprise Vault, Skype for Business 2015, BlackBerry and Mobility (MaaS360). Management of security appliances (Proofpoint and Symantec PGP Gateways). Assistance with regular maintenance. Input on server topology. Work with Messaging Team to improve, upgrade and implement improvements to the messaging environment.


Assisting offices, administrators, and users outside New York after New York’s regular coverage hours in troubleshooting servers and client issues. Interact with the Support Center to address any inquiries and any open issues.


Tuning and monitoring the Exchange, Lync, BlackBerry and Mobility (MDM solutions) servers and processes. This includes the administration of e-mail and databases. Troubleshoot server errors & interact with Microsoft Technical Support to solve problems in the fastest possible time.


Leads the analysis of the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement. This includes, leading the analysis of technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise as well as on the enterprise technology architecture.


Monitoring for held and dead mail, routing problems, operation of Trend Micro Scan Mail and our anti-spam solution: Proofpoint.


Perform such other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
