Solutions Engineer

My client is a worldwide leader in Mobile Messaging Solutions for Enterprises and Telecom operators.  They provide secure enterprise chat for co-workers and customers by using Android/iOS mobile apps, web portal, Outlook Plug-in, and a range of APIs that connect to any operational IT system. Right now, they are looking to hire a Solutions Engineer in Boston, MA.

 

Ideal candidates should have the following:

  • Sales Support and Engineering:
    • Demonstrate services to prospects
    • Create new accounts for prospects and customers
    • Train prospects and new customers to use services
    • Update sales sheets with new features and functionality
  • Project Management:
    • Work with customers to define customization requirements
    • Produce project plans and monitor progress
    • Update customization documentation to reflect customer requirements
    • Produce functional requirements documentation to guide developers for all projects
    • Tailor all documentation, e.g. help guides, demos, FAQ's, for use by new customers
    • Provide web content for new customers
  • Product Management:
    • Define new features and functions for services and update roadmap
    • Produce Change Request documentation for updating customer services
    • Update customization documentation for services
  • Technical Support:
    • Interface with customers and NOC to manage outages
    • Use procedures and processes for managing primary or secondary path outages.
    • Interpret trouble calls and analyze problems using published troubleshooting procedures.
  • Background:
    • 1-3 years of software project management experience with VAS mobile messaging experience in a field facing role
    • Bachelor’s in technical discipline, preferably software related
