Director, Solution Engineering

My client is the only company that offers enterprise-class software, support, consulting and managed services for MySQL, MariaDB and MongoDB across on-premise and cloud-based platforms.  They’ve been established since 2006, have over 20 million in revenue and growing at 20%.  They are privately held, self-funded and profitable. 

They are growing their pre-sales team, looking for a Director of Solution Engineering located anywhere in the central or eastern US – home based.

This is a player-coach role: 80% as a solution engineer and 20% leading a team of 2 other SE’s.  This position will involve working closely with the SE’s and sales team to help match customer needs to the right mix of open source technologies, services and products.


  • True “pre sales” experience
  • Understand sales methodologies

  • Technical background in either MySQL or MongoDB and database-related technologies

Base: $115k-$120k+
